26/02/2026 Urinalysis
Collection method: free catch @12:30pm
Colour: dark yellow
USG : off the scale
pH : 8.0 - 8.5
Protein : ++
Blood : neg
Glucose : ++++
Ketones : neg
Bilirubin : neg
Sediment : mod numbers of neutrophils, occasional cocci - not seen intracellular
Assessment: sample in jan - no cells so think this change is significant. Extend amoxil for 10 day course then recheck urine and assess response
Plan: complete abx then reassess urine - O to monitor urine gluc/ketones. consider gluc monitor if urine clear and still high gluc.
Owner contacted with results: spoke with Nat
she has started clipping Lola
She did dipstick at home that had low levels of glucose - veyr different to our reading- so possibly home monitoring has not been accurate and given false sense of security.
Plan assess after infections clear and if still glucosuria and other signs then glu monitoring.
