PRESENTING COMPLAINT:
HISTORY:
- had a hide treat (unusual for her) 1:15 ago 
- choked a bit up but then ran and hid
- laboured breathing since
- has has a previous string fb removed
- no vomiting

CLINICAL FINDINGS:
Sub: BAR, panting
Obj: HR: WNL, MM pink, moist CRT<2 T: not taken
Cardiovascular: no notable murmurs or arrythmias auscultated, femoral pulses good and synchronous
Respiratory: normal respiratory rate and effort, normal bronchovesicular sounds on auscultation, no visible nasal discharge
Gastrointestinal: soft comfortable abdomen on palpation, no strong repeatable focus of pain,
Musculoskeletal: no notable lameness on walk
Neurological: cranial nerves intact, no notable ataxia
Integument: no obvious lesions
Otic/Ocular: normal ocular and otic structures
Lymph Nodes: no peripheral lymphadenopathy noted

ASSESSMENT: 
Concern that Izzy may have aspirated or that she may has irritated her oesophagus/GI tract. 
No clinical signs on physical exam but panting indicates some discomfort - pain relief warranted. 

TREATMENT:
Gabapentin 10mg/kg BID for 5 days or until Izzy settles. 

CLIENT COMMUNICATION/PLAN:
RV with any vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, lethargy, inappetence.
