Quick appears normal, no inflammation or discharge or haemorrhage. Moderate crepitus on flexion/extension of D1 metacarpophalangeal joint with pain response (drooling). No swelling or external lesions. A: torn dew claw appears to be healing adequately. Adjacent D2 MCP joint has moderate crepitus. Ddx fracture, luxation, OA, otherT: meloxicam SID 7d + strict rest 14d. If no improvement or deterioration, sedated x-ray of foot recommended. DIscussed option to do x-ray first + bloods prior to meloxicam - declined for now. P: Recheck in 14d. Strict rest includes no walks, outside on short lead for toileting only. DIscussed advsere effects of meloxicam.
