Reason: Constipated?Hasn't noticed him passing any faeces recently. Only passed a very small amount of faeces this morning. Has been scooting. Straining to defecate, only noticed today. Been giving psyllium husks every 2-3 days. Abdominal palpation & a rectal exam reveals no evidence of constipation.  No evidence of inflammation around his aus. Anal glands are not distended. Rectal examination detects no swellings in the rectum ventrally or dorsally. He faeces on the rectal glove are soft. Treatment: acp 25mg x6 (1 tablet 2 hours prior), neurontin 300mg x10c (1 capsule 2 hours prior), suggest increase psyllium to daily & advise to mix with warm water and then mix with food to increase palatability.
