Reason: lilly has blood in poo. went on ABs . 4 days off and has a lot of frank blood in poo.Subjective: OK in self, only ate half of normal food today, no V. O has noticed PD/PU recently, r were discussions of possible Cushings. Hx of IMHA and IMTP? Colitis improved on ABx then stopped and colitis started with haematochezia - raspberry jam like. Is waiting for supplements to arrive (as previously adv by MS)Objective: BAR, mmpink and moist, crt2sHR120, no audible murmur, good synchronous pulsesRR panting, no adventitious lung soundsAbdo comfortableLNs OKCaudal mammary glands - superficial firm mass (x2) - O r had inflammation around this area followed by first bout of D+T38.6Rectal exam NAD, dark fresh blood on gloveDiscussed with O, could well just need extended course of ABx but would be ideal to do abdo US, will be helpful to assess adrenal glands etc too (rule out underlying cause), could also send off faecal sample. O happy to proceed with US. Would do conscious and hopefully tolerate this enough, if not must contact O before administering any sedation given hx (GA seemed to be a trigger of IMHA previously).
