<html><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><p>Hx;<br>O reports has been licking RFL incessantly for a few days and has swelling and crusting of the area<br>No other feet are affected<br>No hx of trauma, has not been limping<br>Otherwise well eddu normal <br><br>Exam;<br>Very limited even with chill pills on board - unable to examine - O held up foot for me to look at <br>RFL between 2nd and 3rd digit has marked erythema, mild diffuse swelling, crusting +++, no abscess or draining sinus present<br>Other feet appear normal<br><br>Assess;<br>Localised deep interdigital pyoderma likely secondary to a contact allergy (pododermatitis)<br><br>Plan;<br>Dispense cephalexin BID for 7 days to treat bacterial pyoderma<br>Tapering course prednisolone to address local inflammation <br>Dispense chill pills for next appointment <br>Continue malaseb baths as maintenance for feet (don't use while skin broken)<br>revisit if not resolving </p></html>

Favouring right front leg.Was fine, they threw the ball and he came back with a limp.Seems worse after exercise.Unable to examine dog.The owner palpated the muscles behind the upper leg and he lifted his leg so perhaps muscolar?Put on meloxicam and gave chill pills in case has to come back.

Floyd is going great, owners asked me not to check him just vaccinate him - given on the front verandah, nobivac DHP BBPi sche was very good and took treats from me afterwards.Â
