History:History: Presented for acute onset watery diarrhea starting 28/02/2026 - some urgency but no increase in frequency. No blood has been noted. O reports possible mild lethargy and decreased water intake this morning. Appetite is reportedly normal. No V+. No coughing/sneezing. O fed a bland diet of chicken and rice yesterday. Possible dietary indiscretion (cheese) on 26/02/2026 but O thinks unlikely to set off diarrhoea as generally does not have sensitive GIT. UTD on vacc and parasite treatments, due nexgard spectra in coming days

Physical Examination:
- BAR
- Eyes & ears clear, free from discharge or inflammation.
- Oral Exam: MM pink & moist, CRT <2, no skin tent.
- Cardiothoracic auscultation clear with no murmurs/arrythmias, crackles or wheezes. Pulses strong & synchronous.
- Abdominal palpation tense & uncomfortable with no palpable masses, organomegaly or thickenings.
- No peripheral lymphadenopathy
- Skin & coat in good condition
- T: 38.4

Diagnostics:
- Blood work was offered to investigate extra-gastrointestinal causes but was declined by O at this time - advised any change or deterioration in clinical condition to revisit
- Fecal collection pot sent home with O.

Differentials:
- Dietary indiscretion
- Infectious enteritis (e.g., Giardia, Salmonella)
- Pancreatitis
- Hepatitis
- Gastroenteritis

Treatment:
- Pro-Kolin+ paste: 6mL PO BID until finished.
- Paracetamol (Panadol) 500mg: 3/4 tablet PO BID for 3 days.

Recommendations & Follow Up/Discussion:
- Monitor closely at home. Re-present if diarrhea worsens, blood is seen, vomiting starts, or if he becomes inappetent or more lethargic.
- If no improvement within 24 hours, O to collect a pooled fecal sample for analysis.
- Continue normal diet, ensuring adequate fluid intake - advised option of GI diet e.g. RC gastro or Hills i/d for coming days but O concerned alteration in diet may worsen diarrhoea as had previous issues with this in previous dog
- NexGard Spectra can be given as scheduled, provided he is eating.
