Left normal and expressed (approx 2cm). Small sinus on the R anal gland region<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tests performed</span>- R anal gland rupture<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Assessmen</span>t - R anal gland rupture<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Plan</span> -<br>1/ Metacam 2.5mg sid with food<br>2/ amoxil 400mg bid orally<br>3/ clean region with warm salty water<br>4. Keep poos on the softer side (*higher water content food) until settled)<br>5. Revisit in 7-10 days to make sure swelling reduced and make sure duct is patent (did discuss occ need to flush through anal gland)<br>6. Can added psyllium husk to diet also (slowly build to 2 teapsoons/day)<br><br></p>
