Sore foot eb


Hx:
--> Bakkies has been lame for a few days. He is still eating and otherwise ok.

Clin:
--> Right hind foot is raw between the toes and smelly. One of the middle toes is split towards the front. It appears to be healing but it appears Bakkies has been cleaning excessively due to the infection.

Rx /  Plan:
--> 0.55ml cefovecin sc.

Plan:
1) 0.5ml meloxicam po SID x 7 days with food.
2) Daily bathing with biluted betadine for a few days.
3) Recheck if pad is not healing or worsens in any way.

Vaccinations -

Hx:
--> Bakkies has been well with no problems to report. Outdoor/indoor cat. Tick prevention is used but owner has asked that I apply it today to ensure he actually is up to date.

Clin:
--> HR 180 - no murmurs or arrhythmias; chest sounds clear; mm pink moist. NAD on abdo palp, LNs WNLs, ok coat and skin, clean eyes, dirty ears but not infection just wax and dirt, grade 1 dental disease, BCS 6/9, QAR.

Rx /  Plan:
--> Felovax F3 (3254008) sc.
--> Applied revolution plus in consult.
--> Cleaned ears with paw gentle ear cleaner.

Vetstoria Appointment
VETSTORIA - - Bakkies (Cat) - Steve Betts - 0406063858 - Consult [Veterinarian : Dr. Veronica Gibb-Cumming(No Preference)] - Bakkies has been missing for 3 weeks. Just found him and thought worth coming in for a checkup. -

Hx:
--> Bakkies was missing for 3 whole weeks but was luckily found last night locked under a house. He ate and drank loads overnight but owners would like him to have a check up. No parasite prevention used since July.

Clin:
--> HR 180 - no murmurs or arrhythmias; chest sounds clear; mm pink moist. NAD on abdo palp, LNs WNLs, clean eyes, dirty ears from being under a house (not infection), coat dirty but only because of living condition for the last 3 weeks, does have flea dirt, ok dental health, BCS 4/9 (lost a kilo), BAR.

Rx /  Plan:
--> Cleaned ears with paw gentle ear cleaner and wiped face down.
--> Applied revolution plus in consult.

Plan:
1) Withhold vaccination today and plan to recheck weight and vaccinate at the end of the month.
