Reason: VETNOSTICS RESULTSACTH Stim test:1hr post-ACTH cortisol 71 nmol/l This is very close to the recommended ideal range of 30 - 65 nmol/L at 1h when testing ~ 4 hours post trilostane dosing. Action depends on the clinical picture - if the dog seems good clinically you could consider holding this dose and recheck in 3 months. Or if there are still subtle clinical signs, consider a small dose increase (45mg BID) and recheck in 2 weeks.--- 28/02/2026 15:09:08 AZ:Called O with result. Axel's clinical signs seem to be improving (no longer polyphagic), water intake not yet measured but subjectively seems to be drinking less water. However, has been gaining weight recently but O thinks may be due to reduced exercise as Axel's joints have been more painful. Has recently reduced meal sizes. Recommended:- Keep trilostane dose the same for now and recheck ACTH test in 2-3 months- O to measure daily water intake a few times and report at next vet recheck next month- If water intake is high and Axel still gaining weight despite food reduction, consider increasing trilostane dose to 45mg and retesting ACTH stim 2 weeks after BOVA trilostane ordered. 2 more repeats left on script.
