<p><strong>HISTORY </strong><br>Monday arvo - ate some wagyu beef with pepper<br>had diarrhoea 3 x today, with fresh blood. with some mucous.<br>had some soft poo on Sunday evening<br>one vomit in the house, but owner unsure which dog (as other dog does vomit too)<br>was boarding for a few days Friday - Sunday<br><br><strong>EXAM</strong><br>gum colour pink, moist. CRT normal<br>bilateral MPL - grade 2 - hard to assess as dog was very wiggly in consult<br>abdo palp NAD - comfortable<br>unable to do a rectal exam, temperature check was difficult - temp 38<br><br><strong>ASSESSMENT </strong><br>infectious? dietary indiscretion<br>bilateral MPL - O to monitor<br><br><strong>PLAN</strong><br>oral metronidazole liquid 0.6ml BID for 5 days<br>prokolin 2ml BID for 5-7 days<br>bland diet initially<br>if diarrhoea not resolving, might need further investigation eg faecal testing<br><br><strong>OWNER COMMUNICATION</strong></p>

In House CBC/Chem15/Lytes/PancMild elevation ALT 333Mild increase CPL 242ASSESSMENT: Elevated CPL likely secondary to GIT Likely primary GIT Issue (eg. infectious vs other) COMMUNICATION: - Owner elected to be called with blood test result - JR STO OTP, relayed results. Owner advised not wanting to eat today still. Advised to try something like boiled lean beef. PLAN: - START Prokolin 30ml x 3ml PO BID until finished - Owner to drop off stool sample AND PAY for Faecal PCR - Bland diet (boiled chicken/rice) - INI / deterioration over weekend, consider restarting Metronidazole. JR
