Check nail under sedation History: - More comfortable since having meds. EDDU normal. No V/D. No coughing/sneezing. - Fasted from 8pm last night. Current medications: Meloxicam last night 7pm. Examination: - BAR, nervous but nice. BCS 6/9. Dental 0-1/4. - HR WNL, no murmur, MMs pink/moist, CRT 1s, pulses normokinetic and synchronous. - RR WNL, clear bronchovesicular lung sounds bilaterally, regular rhythm. - Soft/comfortable abdominal palpation. No obvious mass/organomegaly/fb palpable. - All peripheral lymph nodes wnl. Temp not taken. LF digit 2 vertical split - seems stable in nail bed. Anaesthesia: - Pre-anaesthetic Bloods: Offered - declined. - Premedication: Methadone 0.4mg/kg + Domitor 20mcg/kg SC. Good sedation. - Induction: Alfaxan 2mg/kg IV. - HR, RR, BP, SPO2 all wnl during procedure. Procedure: - LF digit 2: Vertical split distal nail, still secure in nail bed, trimmed back and cauterised. - LF paw bandaged melanin/soft ban/vet wrap. - All nails trimmed short. Plan: - Continue meloxicam PO SID for 7 days from tonight. - Bandage to be removed in 3 days.
