Current health concerns: new lumps.
EDUD normal, behaviour & energy at home normal, no recent v+/d+/c/s
Diet: RC dry & wet
Exercise: reduced mobility - doing shorter walks
Parasite prevention (HW, intestinal worms, ectoparasites): simparica trio & HWI - will switch to plain simparica + fenpral
Previous vaccines: due C5
Regular medications: occasional gabapentin for thunderstorms
Weight change: gained 3 kg - new puppy, eating puppy food

Examination
Demeanour: BAR, lovely dog
HR: 108 bpm, no audible murmur
RR: pant
T 38.4 °C
Oral mucous membranes pink & moist, CRT <2 s
Dental score: 1/4, both upper carnassials fractured tips, think no pulp exposure
Abdomen tense but nonpainful, NAD on palpation
Superficial lymph nodes NAD
BCS: 7/9
Numerous lumps:
- numerous soft subcut lumps - too many to practically sample
- slightly firmer 2 cm moveable subcut mass in R flank fold - FNA taken
- firm 8 mm dermal mass on back of head - prev FNA
 
Assessment
Fit for vaccination
Senior dog - rec yearly bloods, 6 monthly health check. Declined bloods for now.
Would benefit from dental - probe & xray carnassials
 
Treatment
Duramune C3 & Canigen KC given subcut
Afilaria 1.5 given subcut
 
Plan/recommendations
Next vaccines due: KC Feb 2027, C3 Feb 2029. Parasite prevention: afilaria due Feb 2027, use up remaining simparica trio then switch to plain simparica + fenpral monthly.
CM to call/text with FNA results, Os to monitor lumps for change/irritation

24/02/2026 FNA results of mass on R flank fold: clear oily material. Minimally cellular but a couple of adipocytes seen. 
--> likely lipoma, rec monitor only
