Reason: Chewing Paw - Grass Seed?History: 1wk Hx chewing LF paw with no improvement. O unable to find a FB- EDDU normal, no limping- going to groomer's tomorrow. O going away for 1wk from Saturday- goes to beach regularly, suspects obtained FB/injury thereExamine:BEH - FAS 3/5. main response: Freeze. Disposition: very shy, quiet girl. Did well with O restraining/pattingINTEG - euhydrated. coat: smooth/clean. Nails & skin unremarkableEYE – globes: grossly normal, no ocular discharge. Conjunctivae & eyelids: nil inflammationEAR - internal pinnae: clean, non-erythematous, non-painful. external canals: unremarkable cerumen.ORAL – CI1 GI0.CV - OMM: pink, moist. CRT <2s. appropriate HR&rhythm, no murmur. FPSSRESP - RR&E: appropriate, no stridor/stertor. lungs: bronchovesicular soundsABD – no tension; soft, non-painful. no masses or organomegaly.GU - grossly unremarkableMSK - BCS 7/9. well-muscled. no overt lameness.Assessment:Clipped area of erythema and salivary staining on palmar asp between D2-3, revealing epithelial abrasions/erosion, mild serous ooze, very erythematous. No localised swelling. Dorsal interdigitally between D2-3, there is small (3mm) central area of erythema without oedema/discharge/epithelial deficits. Transillumination did not reveal any shadows of potential FBs- Suspect former interdigital grass seed/FB that has since ejected + 2nd self-trauma via lickingTreatment:- Cleaned area with chlorhex scrub in consult- Applied Fuciderm to dorsal and palmar aspects of affected interdigital skinPlan:- Apply Fuciderm BID x5-7d PRN- keep paw dry and prevent licking (e-collar/inflatable collar)- RV INI to further explore wound +/- rads Vital Signs Weight: 9.8; MMColour: pi; BodyScore: 7/9; DentalGrade: 1/4; PainScore: 1/4; CRT: <2s;
