02/03/2026 Sensitivity to medications or allergies - Diarrhoea from NSAIDS

02/03/2026 S: Seen previously at AVC for left hindlimb lameness. Previous dislocated toe right fore D4 10 days ago.

Sx: Premedication with 10ug/kg IM with 0.2mg/kg methadone. Induced with 5mL alfaxan and maintained on isoflurane.

Xray series: Stifle DP, lateral and hip. Possible left stifle increased fat opacity, possible hips dysplasia (40-50% so suspect borderline).

Thank you for having Rupert with Bundoora Veterinary Clinic.

Rupert was admitted for left hindlimb lameness with concerns for stifle injury. We have now taken xrays under GA. There appears to be some mild changes in the left cruciate and borderline hip dysplasia. We have sent these xrays for review at a specialist clinic. We have also replaced Ruperts splint to prevent him from displacing his toe again.

Please ensure that Rupert is allowed to recover in a warm dry location. Please ensure that his elizabethen collar is on at all times and that his bandage is protected from moisture.

We will contact you in regards to surgical assessment in a few days.
