In the past 24 hours O has noticed an increase in coughing at home. 
Seems to have long episodes of coughing and is making regurgitation sounds. 
Regurgitated once in clinic today after coughing. 
No nasal discharge noted by O. 
Otherwise still eating and drinking. 

EDVD: normal 
Current medications: Meloxicam 

Examine: 
Mentation: BAR 
Body condition score: 3/5
MM: P/M              
CRT: <2
HR: ~108               
RR: panting 
LN: nad
Temperature: 38.4

Ocular: clear, no discharge 
Oral/Dental stage: Stage 2-3, no visible fb in mouth 
Ears: nad
Cardiovascular: no audible murmur on left side, poss low grade systolic murmur when listening from right. 
Respiratory: harsh lung sounds, no crackles no wheezes audible, positive tracheal pinch 
Gastrointestinal: allows palpation, a little tense as nervous 
Integumentary & lumps (measurement, location): not examined 
Musculoskeletal: not examined 
Urogenital: nad
Neurological: nad

Problem List/Assessment: 
Suspect URT Irritation (+ve tracheal pinch) but cannot r/o esophagitis. 
DDX: kennel cough/infectious, tracheal collapse, dynamic airway disease, fb, neoplasia v other?

Plan: 
Home with short course of doxycycline and omeprazole. O also given anti-histamine trial sheet. 
O plans to switch from meloxicam to paracetamol.
INI consider thoracic radiographs.
