Reason: swelling around neck - owners says he is breathing ok and acting normally otherwiseHistory: Groomed on the 24th, since then has been quieter than normal, staying away from others, and a swelling has come up on the neck, crying when trying to feel the area at home.Still eating and drinking normally.Assessment: HR 140, thorax NAD, abdo NAD.Temp 38.9.Swelling under the right side of the jaw, firm to palpate.  No palpable external wounds.  Discussed re possible salivary gland/lymph node infection via oral cavity (adult teeth erupting vs foreign body vs other).  No compression on respiratory tract.May have been starting to develop at last visit when unable to give any oral medications in clinic.Unable to look in mouth today, discussed with o cannot rule out foreign body.Treatment: Start with metacam and noroclav course.Revisit later in week for sedation and drainage and explore mouth if not improving quickly.
