Physical Exam Dr Joy Corzel Reason: sedate and treat ears History: Visited on Friday but was too aggressive to assess and treat the ear. Has returned fasted today to have sedation and ear treatment Exam: MM pink HR 128 bpm with no murmurs or arrhythmias Right ear inflamed Left ear appears normal Treatment: Sedated with 0.08ml butorphanol and 0.08ml medetomidine im Adequate sedation Both ears plucked Cytology done on both ears Right ear is very inflamed and thickened Cleaned both ears with otoflush Put mometamax ultra in the right ear Cytology: Right ear - rods 3+, malassezia 2+, cocci 1+ Left ear - just skin cells Plan: Recheck in 4 weeks
