<p>Consulting with Vet Nurse: no</p><p>PRESENTING COMPLAINT: <br>Follow-up for urinary issues - checking progress after diet change and medication course</p><p>HISTORY:<br>- Changed diet - stopped whiskas, started urinary food and changed biscuits<br>- Finished course of medication <br>- Had a couple of urinary accidents about a week after finishing medication<br>- No accidents for approximately 1-1.5 weeks now<br>- Moved things around bedroom to obstruct previous accident area<br>- Cat still sniffs around the area but cannot access it and hasn't urinated on moved items<br>EDDU: Eating and drinking well, good water drinker, drinks regularly</p><p>Current diet: urinary food and changed biscuits</p><p>Temperature: 38.2</p><p>EXAMINATION: <br>Dental/Mouth: dental disease noted, tartar buildup - grade 2 generalised <br>Abdo: palpated bladder - cat had recently urinated, faeces palpated in colon, cannot palpate bladder. <br>no murmurs audible, chest sounds clear<br>mm pink moist crt2s<br>periph lns wnl <br>Otherwise NAD<br>Demeanour: BAR, relaxed, settled, seems less stressed</p><p>PROBLEM LIST:<br>- Urinary issues - follow up<br>- Dental disease</p><p>DDx:<br>Urinary issues - FLUTD, stress-related, dietary<br>Dental disease - tartar buildup</p><p>ASSESSMENT: Urinary issues appear to be improving with diet change and environmental modifications. Dental disease present, will need monitoring and potential dental care in future.</p><p>TREATMENT in consult room/Meds dispensed:<br>None</p><p>VET TECH actions:<br>Generate client summary in VetNotes <br>Email handout: dental care information</p><p>PLAN:<br>- Continue current urinary diet<br>- unable to obtain cysto sample today -> rec collect fresh urine sample at home for urinalysis - home with catrine beads<br>- Bring urine sample in fresh or refrigerate until convenient<br>- Consider dental treats/dental care products for dental disease<br>Revisit recommended?
