History; Left eye gunky and bloodshot since last Friday (02/03/2026). Not bothered by it. Occasional debris noted in the right eye. Loves chasing balls and sticks. Previous lumps on left flank and right shoulder have been present for at least a couple of years, cytology previously performed.
 
Previous diagnosis/ health conditions; Cutaneous masses left flank and right shoulder

Clinical Examination; 
Demeanor BAR FAS level?
Eyes Left eye conjunctiva is inflamed with debris in the bottom fornix. Right eye is less inflamed. Cornea clear bilaterally, no evidence of uveitis.
EARS nl
ORAL EXAM; Teeth in good order overall. Right mandibular canine has worn crown surface with pink pulp visible centrally, consistent with pulp canal exposure.                          
HR/Pulse 80 bpm, regular, no murmur

Abdo palp nl
Skin & coat Left flank 5 x 5 x 2 cm mass. Right shoulder 3 x 3 x 1 cm mass.
Muscle quality/BCS nl

Diagnostic tests; nil
 
Recommendations; 
Return if eye not settling in the next couple of days for an intraocular pressure check.
Avoid ball chasing and sticks. If chasing a ball, use a solid rubber ball rather than a fibre/tennis ball.
Future options for the tooth if it progresses include crown amputation or a root canal with a crown, which would require specialist referral.
Two-part vaccination administered (injectable and intra-oral). Canine cough and trivalent vaccination are now up to date. Next year's reminder will be for canine cough only.

Broad-spectrum antibiotic ointment (Tricin) to be applied topically to the left eye twice daily.
Apply ointment to the right eye as well for a couple of days.
