Bilateral otitis externa - yeast- Early stage infection, caught early- Ear drops with cortisone: 1ml each ear twice daily for 7 days- Otocort ear flush: twice in the next week, apply with syringe, massage 30 seconds, wipe excess with cotton ball- Separate syringes for each ear to prevent cross-contamination- Rinse syringe with hot water after use- Ear drops may cause oily residue around ears - will resolve with bathing- Metacam only if painful, otherwise topical cortisone in drops sufficient- After water exposure (bathing, swimming, puddles): flush ears to prevent water stagnation- Recheck in 7 days to assess resolution before stopping medication---Patient Summary:Ace has a yeast infection in both ears, caught early.
