If you have any questions regarding this or other dermatology related cases, please do not hesitate to call us. Regards, Dr Beth McDonald BVSc (Hons) MVS MANZCVs, DACVD Specialist in Veterinary DermatologyMr Brian Woodhouse16 Brande Street Belmore, NSW, 21922nd March 2026Dear Brian,You presented Bonnie today for a recheck dermatology consultation. Bonnie is doing well and continues to take 50mg of Itraconazole once daily for her Cryptococcal infection in her subcutaneous fat pads on her ventral abdomen. The is hair regrowth over her abdomen and only mild focal areas of nodules which may be scarring rather than active disease. On examination the nose and some of her pads had small (1mm) focal areas of ulceration. The appearance is more consistent with a mosquito bite allergy rather than skin cancer. She lives outside and numerous mosquitoes are present. The cats live in a large outside run, which is too big to screen. You could try Seresto Collars which are safe to use on cats and have an insect repellent action.I have collected a blood test to measure antibody levels to Cryptococcus and shall call you within a week with the results. The last test in October last year was only 64.Regards,Dr Beth McDonald BVSc (Hons) MVS MANZCVs, DACVD Specialist in Veterinary DermatologyRhonda ForemanDermatology Technician Vital Signs Weight: 6.31;
