Normally formed stools, no increase in urgency/frequency. No change in diet - usually mixture of commercial kibble and wet food. Was being minded by owner's parent prior to symptoms developing.No current medications, no known access to toxins/bins/leftovers though may have scavenged on a walk.Monthly NG Spectra UTD.Previously and otherwise well, normal EDU and energy levels.Examination:BAR, BCS 3/5, NAD chest auscultation. Slightly painful on mid-abdominal palpation (suspect behavioural). Eyes, ears ok. Teeth grade 1 tartar most teeth. MM pink, CRT 1 sec. Skin and Lns WNL. Temp WNL.Assessment:Acute haematochezia.Main DDx: dietary indiscretion, infection (bacterial, protozoal, viral, parasitic).Plan:Faecal sample sent off for faecal PCR.Ok to pick up Prokolin if D+ develops while awaiting results if otherwise remains stable.
